Our department conducts targeted inspection trapping to detect pests of concern or quarantine significance. These traps are strategically deployed to monitor for invasive pests that pose a serious threat to local agriculture. Early detection is critical for preventing the establishment and spread of these pests, ensuring compliance with quarantine regulations, and protecting the county’s agriculture and environment. Data collected through these efforts enables VCAWM to develop and implement effective pest management strategies, safeguarding the agricultural industry and supporting sustainable farming practices in Ventura County.
