Apiary Protection Program
Apiary Protection Program
The Apiary Protection Program helps beekeepers register their apiaries annually and investigates issues relating to possible bee disease, pesticide exposure, or theft. This program also enforces adherence to the Ventura County ordinances relating to both commercial and backyard beekeeping, ensuring that apiaries are both safe and healthy.
Apiary Registration
All beekeepers, hobbyists, or brokers who keep or maintain apiaries in California must register their hives with the local Agricultural Commissioner annually.
